Why should I go to school?

All in all were just another brick in the wall.

Education is the path OUT of being fed to the grinder.

Sure, a lot of our current education system is designed to teach people how to pull the leaver but never question WHY we pull the leaver. But to equate education with being a mindless cog in the corporate machine is really missing the mark.

We need education to become smart enough and resourceful enough to apply critical thinking to our current problems. We certainly don't resist the machine by staying ignorant.

The irony is that being dismissive/skeptical of the value/purpose of education is exactly what the capitalist overlords they're trying to mock want.

The ruling class wants the underclasses to think education is pointless--people who lack literacy and critical thinking skills are easier to control. If education was pointless the ruling class wouldn't have spent the last 25 years destroying the public education system in America.

Another example of people trying to galaxy brain something and coming to the dumbest conclusion.

But this ain't it folks.

People risk their lives for a chance at the schooling we get in this country. People pick our crops and mine our minerals for even a fraction of the education you can get at a decent American school.

Like what's your alternative? Skip school, get no job, and chill in the woods your whole life? We all want an escape from the grind, but life is ALWAYS some kind of grind.

Try not being a cog when you don’t know how to read.

Education is one of those rare things you can do just for you. Study enriches your live by opening your eyes to the multitude of ways it is possible to be human. Without that you really are just the speck being ground down, you are siloed to just the life you live and the thoughts you think. Education, even if your life is scaraficed to the meat grinder, is the avenue of escape for your mind.
