I got the restriction email on Monday, access back today, no warning just locked up for a week.

For context I was running a chrome extension for LinkedIn message automation. 60 to 70 connection requests a day for three straight weeks. Same message to everyone, scrapped lists of "marketing managers" with zero cleaning. Writing this out, I answered my own question, but am posting because I want to hear from people who run Linkedin outreach automation long term without being slapped.

I keep reading that cloud based LinkedIn automation is safer than extensions, and that acceptance rate matters more than volume but half of that sounds like tool marketing.

honestly i think the volume is only one part of the equation.

the bigger issue is usually behavioural patterns. same message, same timing, same actions every day, poor acceptance rates... those signals add up pretty quickly.

we learned the hard way that LinkedIn outreach works much better when it's part of a broader multichannel strategy instead of trying to force everything through LinkedIn. if someone doesn't accept, they might still reply to an email a few days later.

that's one reason we ended up using smartreach.io... it lets us coordinate LinkedIn and email together instead of pushing LinkedIn volume higher and higher.

i'd also avoid chasing the maximum "safe" daily limit. i'd rather send fewer, highly relevant connection requests with strong acceptance rates than try to squeeze another 20 requests a day out of the account. long term, acceptance rate seems to matter a lot more than raw volume.
