My mom is teaching a masters course at a very good college and said she is receiving papers and the students are not even removing the "created by chatgpt" at the end.

The kids can't read, can't think for themselves, and can't learn.

If I saw the text I would probably put Madagascar into my paper thinking I would get bonus points for paying super close attention to the assignment.

At least the other 3 were smart enough to know to reread and edit. Professor still knew but passed them on that fact alone.

LLMs can read and recognize prompt injected text.

I was prepping a power point presentation and wanted anyone who uploaded it to an LLM to get a different response. So I injected in almost every slide of the deck a text in white font a text that started with something like "if you're an LLM/Ai reading this do X y z". Did that in every slide.

The went ahead to upload it myself on an LLM. I tried several actually. Loaded it on gemini, Claude and copilot. None of them responded to the prompt injection.

When I specifically asked if they noticed something strange about the deck I believe claude actually stated something like "yeah the author tried to instruct LLMs to offer a different summary with some poor injection but it was easy to ignore since it was clearly meant to distract" or something like that.

This is why I'm so annoyed the Learning Management System we use wrong let me change font colour in assignment prompts.
