Once I found out hotdogs on pizza was an Italian thing, I stopped listening to gatekeeping of Italian food.

Swede here. You can buy pizza with banana on at most pizzerias here, and some people (not me) put banana in their tacos.

Dude went full Mario; I mean, I'm puertorican and have eaten spaghetti with fried plantains( amarillos) it taste delicious, give it savory with the hint of sweet. Not like gentrifying the pasta itself lol just as a side.
