ads that are based off of my insecurities

i find it so crazy that i haven't seen any other post about this.

it's been months, maybe a year that this has been happening. tiktok will push ads to me that are about things i am insecure about myself physically. and the ads are SO gross and disturbing. and SO specific. its pushed ads regarding weight/stomach fat, toe fungus, receding gums, etc. and i have never searched anything or interacted with anything about those topics on tiktok or any other app/site. never spoken a word about it. this experience makes it really seem like it's reading my mind. it's freaky af and i'm being deadass. something about tiktok is reading your mind. idc what yall say. this is just a PSA.

i enjoy tiktok but seeing ads like this so frequently is so disheartening. it makes me not want to have the app at all tbh. i've parted ways with it many times even though i enjoy it for the most part.
