Those are basically tourist prices. I lived in Alaska above the arctic circle. Almost everyone has some sort of supplemental income. Regular residents almost all qualify for SNAP and many native Alaskans get dividends from their tribal corporations. People there for work get big per diem or COA.

That's Canadian dollars I assume. The prices are about 10-30% higher than Norwegian prices.
