How to switch usernames between accounts?

I want to rebrand for my main TikTok account which has a pretty good following. However, I want to save the username on that account, and move it to a burner. Anyone know if there’s a way to do this, perhaps if you work with an agency? If not, how long is the waiting period before it ends up getting snatched by a bot or someone else?
