What do yall think about the straight women dating bi men discourse?

Ive been watching this discourse unravel for some time. Inputting my opinion in here and there as I don’t believe anyone, especially men, should be able to discuss and shame women for their preferences. Ive been called a bigot, ive been called homophobic, even misogynistic if you can believe it. Just simply for wanting to date a straight man as a straight woman.

Ive been told to “unpack” and “get rid of your bias” and I can only image the result of doing so would open more women up to dating straight men, which to me, is coercion. I get hit with “you’re doing darvo” ot just straight up misogynistic and abusive language toward women coming out of the mouths of WHITE queer men. Ive begun to feel like this discourse is only about the access these men want to our bodies, and their need and desires to feel oppressed as white cisgendered men.

Ragebait nonsense. Everyone can date or not date whoever they want, don’t need to explain.

There’s a philosophy I learned in kindergarten that has served me well in situations like this: mind your own business.

this is absolutely goofy. other people pointing out that a preference is based on stereotypes or bigotry isn’t the same thing as telling you or forcing you to have sex with people you don’t want to have sex with. should manosphere dudes who reject women if they’ve dated a black man in the past get a pass too?

Anybody has the right to date or not date anybody for whatever reason they want. The thing is, when your "preference" obviously comes from a place of bigotry or bias, people are going to call you out on it.

I have to ask, genuinely, what really is the difference to you between a bi guy and a straight guy dating a woman? In both situations, a man attracted to women is dating a woman. I can't see how that could really be different unless you have some sort of bias.

What I really like is you using the buzzwords "white cisgendered men". Since when are all bi men are white? How do you know all these bi men are cis? Are trans men not considered equal men to you?

I think maybe you leave too many comments about how you only want to date straight men and it probably comes off homophobic/biphobic bc no one actually gives a fuck.

I’m just gonna say it - you’ve probably dated a bi guy without realizing
