I have a unique niche with my profession and where i do it. Im thinking of starting an instagram page as a side hustle.

For some insight im a foriegn language teacher, in a foriegn country, with bilingual kids.

Im thinking of making it like a language learning page combined with abit of travel tips/language learning while visiting places etc. I have the possibility of having my bilingual kids appear in a few videos (but not that often).

Does anyone think it would be a good idea and how many views/likes etc would i need?

I don’t think there’s really a fixed number of followers you need. If the audience is specific and actually interested in language learning/travel, even a smaller following can be useful.

I’d focus more on building a consistent audience first and then see what kind of opportunities come from it. Your teaching background also gives you a pretty clear niche to work with.

You can't determine earning potential just by those numbers. All niches, audiences, and content creators RPMs are different. Someone with less than 20,000 followers could make more than someone with 1,000,000.
