This the reason I don’t mind getting downvoted on Reddit. These are the people downvoting you.

I can’t stand Reddit for this. Sometimes you’ll see an interesting video and want more information and context but all the comments are LOL xD funnimen all copy pasting the same goddamn jokes

That “wtf is wrong with you” hit so hard, had that reaction so some comments before.

The thing that gets me is just how garbage People are Giving advice or thinking critically.

I asked for relationship advice because my girlfriend gets mad that I go to bed at the same time every night. She'll wait until like 5 minutes before bed and say let's watch a movie and I'll say no I'm going to bed. 

I mentioned that this was a habit that took a very long time to build up and it helps me stay on top of things because if I have a hard cut off for bed then I'll do other things that I need to do because of the limited time.

95% of the comments were telling me that I was OCD and that I needed therapy and that I was autistic and if I would say I don't think that's the case they would say why are you arguing with every comment and then I would say I'm not arguing with every comment I'm responding to the singular comment that I don't think I have OCD because I like to get the same amount of sleep and have the same sleep schedule for every night.

And then they'll all just say we're just trying to help you I don't know why you're not taking our advice. And then when they can't get at you they'll twist it into why are you running to bed at the exactly the hour every night when that's not what you said.

People are ridiculous

Slightly off topic, but this why I try not to argue with others online anymore.

There was a post on Facebook years ago about a local roundabout that had an accident occur on it (it was notorious for accidents). I have used this roundabout countless times over 20 years of driving, in the town I grew up in.

There was video from the accident, and people were questioning why the driver turned in the lane that he did. I mentioned that this lane is able to do that, it's a shitty 5-way roundabout that confuses people, but it was completely legal.

I had countless people telling me I was wrong, that I had no idea what I was talking about. They had never seen this particular one before, had never driven on it, but I was the wrong one.

That's when I fully understood that the internet is completely full of morons that will argue purely for the sake of it - or just post repeated jokes ad-nauseam.

Oof, the little laughs and sidelong glances are a little *too* perfect.
