Refused to split the bill because he didn't eat over half of the stuff that was ordered.

Good work, King.

If it’s possible to do individual checks why would you ever choose to just split the bill

I never split the bill. I don't drink, I'm not paying for other peoples drinks. I feel like people who push for bill splitting are often entitled and over-order.

I don't blame him for getting his own bill if he ordered a much smaller amount than others. Which sounds like the situation going by what he's saying

I once showed up to a drinks with friends a little late coming from work. They had ordered 5 appetizers for the table and saved me 1 small piece of 4 of them, which I didn't even want. When the bill came they said "split it evenly" to which I said "you guys can split it evenly, I got one beer, I'm paying for one beer".

If your 'friends' all start filming you, they're not your friends.

Always discuss billing prior to the meal though. Most of the time I'm happy to split. If I'm not that hungry or I'm there for a premium item then ima just sort myself out.

Im all for not splitting the bill. I went on a stag do once with 5 well off guys who all owns business I was 18 and worked minimum wage retail at the time.

I had a pint and steak and chips came to about 20 euros. They had like 7 bottles of expensive wine, really expensive starters and mains. Then told me they usually split the bill.

I told them am I fuck paying 70 euros for the 20 I had.
