Seems like this young man became a preacher after all, just not the kind of preacher he planned on being.

I was raised pretty fundamentalist but it pales in comparison to the level of fundamentalism this guy had to survive.

Good for him for being able to have logic and reason when everything about the religion is designed to stop you from thinking logically and with reason.

Same, bro, but I’m female and believed I was fundamentally flawed and not spiritually capable of teaching men about God so I wrote sermons with the hope that men would correct them and deliver them.

And my I left the church after a very similar story arc.

Christ isn’t in the church. I follow the teachings of Christ but I am not a Christian. I don’t believe I was created to be thrown away. I don’t believe God is the abusive father who traps his children in a burning building and demands they profess their love and devotion before he’ll unlock the door and let them run out.

It is interesting how people know the things he takes issue with on the Bible and still worship. Odd.

Man, if you’re gonna raise a Christian family you HAVE TO expect one day they’re gonna ask if it’s all real.

I’m happy where this guy ended up. Using his preacher skills for good now.

I know it’s popular because kids don’t want to sit through long videos anymore but I cannot physically sit through a sped up video. It’s so uncomfortable for me to watch and I’m not sure why.
