Cloud phones vs emulators
I use to use emulators for pretty much everything since they were cheap and easy. Install it, make a few instances, log in, and you're good. But after using them more for account work, it started getting messy once I had more than a few accounts. They still work fine for testing or checking apps, but for actual accounts I started having more issues than I expected.
The main thing for me is that even if the emulator windows look separate, they still feel pretty connected. Same PC, similar device setup, and sometimes apps start acting weird after an update. Had a few accounts that were completely fine, then started getting checkpoints or other issues even though I didn't really change anything.
Cloud phones aren't perfect either. They cost more and you still have to set them up properly. It's not like using one automatically makes your accounts safe. But I do like that each phone feels more separate. It feels closer to having an actual Android phone instead of running a bunch of emulator instances on one PC. For accounts I care about or ones I'm managing long term, I prefer that setup.
I still use emulators for small stuff, but these days I'd rather use cloud phones for actual account work.
Anyone still using emulators with no problems, or did you switch to cloud phones?
