This is a disaster waiting to happen.

The dog isn’t allowed to be around a toddler because he growls at her. I don’t get it. A family dog is supposed to get along with the whole family. Why are the parents concerned about why the dog “doesn’t like her”? What about the child’s safety?

Straight to the humane society. That dog needs a child free home that it never leaves. I love animals, spent a decade professionally caring for them but a child's life is worth so much more.

I've had large breed dogs for 15+ years, mostly pits. Zero hesitation to get rid of one of them if they show any signs of aggression towards people, especially children. I've only ever had one that we had to get rid of and it was a Rottweiler that had anxiety and fear based issues since it was a puppy. Eventually as an adult it turned to reclusive and aggressive behavior. I understand their hesitation, yes they're family, but at the end of the day they're animals capable of inflicting severe permanent damage and death. You have to respect that. You cannot take any chances, and that dog should be taken far away from that kid and probably any kids

Any parent who doesn't immediately rehome, or put the dog down, are selfish fools.

If they keep that dog I hope they go to prison for life if absolutely anything happens to that poor child. I can’t stand people that are more attached to their animals than to their own children’s wellbeing.

I had to break up a dog fight a few years back. Pitbull attacked a bulldog. When the cops showed up he told me he responded to a call a few months prior to a pitbull that killed a 6 year old in my neighborhood.

Pitbulls should require a license and insurance. A walking thinking weapon
