Some Gen Z Redditors need to hear this

This tracks. I couldn't help but think of that morality subreddit that suddenly became popular and i started seeing in the last month or so. Its just people wanting to judge others.

She’s doesn’t appear to be wrong. Or at least more right than wrong.

A generation that grew up with technology at their fingertips and no matter what they say it’s easy to find someone who agrees on the internet. Quick to make snap judgements, and don’t like to hear that they’re wrong. They believe they set the moral standard but struggle with indifference and accepting flaws unless it’s on a medical docket. Gen Z act closer to their great grandparents and they don’t even know it.

I think your forgetting a couple key factors to this behaviour. 1. Gen Z is the most online, social media driven generation to date.

2. Social media is engineered to keep people constantly engaging with it, moral outrage is feeds the algorithm, it gets the most clicks, it gets the most incentive to perpetuate this kind of engagement.

Self hatred? Ya maybe there's an element of that, but these social media platforms thrive on you interacting with it, and nothing gets more engagement better rage bait.

So Gen Z thinks they created cancel culture now? I'm not Gen Z, but the take that an entire generation hates themselves is certainly a take.

Did she just discover hypocrisy, virtue signaling and double standards? Was she not around post 2016?

What's killing me is how she genuinely thinks of this as a gen Z problem. Who knows, in a decade she might realize this has been standard human behavior for a bit more than while now.
