Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to get a better sense of industry pricing for an ongoing content production arrangement. The work would not involve posting on my own social media accounts, managing the client’s accounts, or providing access to my audience. I would simply be creating and delivering the content for the client to use themselves.

The expected workload per month would be roughly:

Around 5 short-form videos, approximately 30-60 seconds each
A selection of product and lifestyle photography, delivered as 8-10 photo batches throughout the month
Shooting and editing handled by me The client would provide the products/materials needed for the shoot. They would then have the right to use the final content on their own social media channels and for paid advertising for up to one year.

I’m trying to work out what would be a reasonable way to structure the pricing for something like this.

For those who work in commercial content creation: would you charge a single monthly retainer, or calculate the production fee and usage/licensing separately? And roughly what monthly rate would you expect for this volume of photo and video work?
