When the content that used to work just stops working

Been talking to a few TikTok creators lately and I keep seeing the same thing

They have a format that works for a while, views are decent, everything looks fine

Then the views start dropping

And instead of changing the actual approach they just keep making slightly different versions of the same content lol

I had a creator I worked with who was basically doing exactly this

I looked at what was actually happening on the account instead of just guessing and ended up changing the whole content structure

Made it simpler, more product focused and less dependent on the old exaggerated style

First few videos were slow obviously

He got frustrated and almost went back to the old stuff

I had to basically tell him to stick with it a little longer

It’s still early so I’m not gonna act like I cracked some secret TikTok formula lol

But at least he’s testing something genuinely different now

I see this a lot with creators

They know something is off with their reach but keep changing little things around the edges instead of accepting that the actual format might just be cooked

Sometimes you don’t need to make more content

You need to accept that the thing that used to work has probably hit its ceiling

At some point you just gotta admit the format is cooked and move on lol
