it is a standard practice with NYC drivers. Please, always be ready to record. I personally know 3 tourists who were forced to overpay for their taxi ride. Two of them just got into taxi in an airport-one paid $1000, another $600. They told drivers were threatening them. The loser on this video is a newbie, just starting his extortion journey. Probably heard of big rip offs, that's why trying it. Stay safe in big apple!
