Continually bombarded with "Verify your account by Video" and temporary disables on my business account
Running a business, about 2 months old (on IG). I switch between browser and phone.
Never paid for a follow, never spammed any feature (follow, unfollow, dm, anything). Pretty decent following for being so new, but all organic, and still less than 1k.
Have meta-paid-verified accounts that work with us and collaborate on posts, and many accounts above 50k (organic) followers that collab/interact with our content.
Seems like at least once a week, after a simple action like updating my profile or following a few people (ie less than 10) triggers the automatic AI "We need you to verify". I pass their visual test, then enter my phone number and input the code they send, then they require a "verification video".
All of that is annoying and intrusive and absurd that no user-reports are required (just an overly sensitive ai monitor) in itself, but the biggest issue is that they immediately suspend your account until they decide that I pass their checks. Obviously I lose access to Instagram, but my whole account becomes invisible, and every link/repost/active story reshared by someone with 50k+ followers becomes non-existent until they decide.
And this process is not 5 minutes, it's half a day or more. That's a huge loss for businesses on Instagram, both in acute action, and also reputation.
Surely the solution cannot be that I can only use instagram from one device... why even have a browser option at that point. I know instagram forces you to use the phone app (much easier for their data tracking/identity, better doom scroll rates, etc), but I hope they fix this.
Has anyone else continually dealt with this? Does it ever end?
