I mean, it's LITERALLY just playing the game on that website. Actual CAPTCHA look at things like cursor movement to differentiate human movement from robot movement. All those perfect straight lines and constant speed the cursor is making in the video there would not pass an actual CAPTCHA on a website... at least it shouldn't.

Are we pretending it wasn't already overrun? Look at how many fresh profiles comment on popular posts with no capitalization and a vaguely snarky tone. Click on their profiles. Do the math on how many comments they leave per day. Do you think it's really a human leaving 50+ comments a day? Notice how they never post. Ask yourself, "Why do they never respond to anyone who replies to their comments?"

ETA: By "never post", I mean they don't make new top level posts. There are plenty of bots who do, but the ones you're seeing in comment sections often do not interact with Reddit outside of leaving comments.
