TikTok flags accounts and Hides comments on both Lives and other posts.

I, along with two others (one based in New York, the other based in rural Arizona, myself based in Washington) decided to do an experiment after noticing some anomalies in our interactions on the app. This all began after the E family(mountain film corp) got TikTok.

All three of us would interact with separate sections of TikTok based on our respective “sports” leanings, we served together so we get along by giving each other guff and rage baiting eachother, a behavior we all keep out of TikTok.

So each of us would like content respective to our sports leanings, right? That would be the first month. To stay in line with Reddit rules I’m going to refer to our “teams by nicknames that you may find humorous” I’m part of Soy team, my middle friend is part of Warm Milk team and my furthest friend is part of Cheeto team.

We did this all on new Yahoo email accounts to make it clean.

So the first month we exclusively liked and watched content respective to our teams. The result by the end of the month was that my profile would occasionally experience one or two day periods where my FYP would change to stuff completely unrelated to my sports team. Warm Milk was not affected quite as much and Cheeto would split between his team and ALOT of Man-ball stuff.

Next month would be us commenting on posts.

Dramatically different experiences: Soy team would get completely hidden after two days of commenting on Soy related content. Comments in Live rooms remained the same, HOWEVER, if a like was added to the post from which soy team comment was placed, comments at all would be hidden on posts, in live rooms, and even on private messages.

Warm milk remain unchanged aside from Cheeto team like stuff being more frequent.

Cheeto got a lot of new followers(around 15k). Not the people kind.

Turns out only the Soys get the gag.
