My dog did this as well. PTSD from when I lived in a condo and when it went off the building had to evacuate.

I loved my dog so we did whatever we could to comfort him rather than laugh at him. I imagine with their ultra sensitive ears its probably excruciating to hear that smoke alarm.

My dog responds exactly like this when the low battery alarm on a smoke detector chirps. I get that shit off the ceiling and take the battery out immediately, because it don’t think it’s fucking cute to see my dog so terrified his entire body is shaking uncontrollably. Fuck this lady.
