How do you organically promote an event using static posts and get people to register online? What about the business itself?

Hello! I have a little bit of design and Canva know-hows but entirely clueless on what makes a post good and engaging.

I'm creating static fb posts for a relative's business to promote their training seminar (in the agribusiness niche). Do you have any tips/strategies on how I should make them? Maybe some copy/design hooks too that have worked for you?

I was thinking to make static posts about the speakers and what the topics are in the training. Or do you think making short-form content is better to promote this kind of event?

And how do I go about promoting the business itself or grow their presence using static posts?

They have a decent following, with most of them following their personal account, not their FB business page. He had some partnerships/sponsorships with the government too for the trainings. Putting this here for context!

Sorry for the bombardment of questions 😅 Personally interested in this topic too and want to get into marketing. I would love to hear tips and advice from you guys! Thanks!

Static can work well for an event like this, but I’d avoid making every post a mini flyer. People register for the outcome, not the agenda.

I’d build a short sequence:

  1. Problem post: one specific pain the audience recognizes — e.g. “Still losing X% of your harvest to ___?”
  2. Outcome post: what attendees will be able to do differently after the seminar. Keep it to 3 concrete takeaways.
  3. Proof post: a result, testimonial, photo from a previous training, or the government/industry partnership if you can describe it accurately.
  4. Speaker post: don’t lead with the bio. Lead with the question they’ll answer, then add 1–2 credibility points.
  5. Objection/FAQ post: price, location, who it’s for, what to bring, deadline, certificate, etc.
  6. Deadline post: clear date + one CTA: register.

For design, use one idea per graphic, a headline readable on a phone, high-contrast type, and a real farm/person/photo when possible. Put the full details on the registration page rather than shrinking them onto the image. A swipeable carousel can handle “3 things you’ll learn,” but the first card still needs a benefit-led hook.

Since the personal account already has the audience, have them publish the strongest educational/proof posts there and tag/share the business page rather than trying to move everyone first. Also ask speakers and partners for a simple share kit with one image and prewritten caption.

Short video is worth adding, but it doesn’t need to replace static. Record each speaker answering one useful question in 20–30 seconds, then turn the same answer into a quote graphic and carousel. That gives you three assets from one idea.

Track registrations with a unique link/UTM for Facebook. Shares and likes are nice, but registration-page visits and completed signups will tell you which angle actually worked.

You can limit a LinkedIn Page post to a specific audience, but only if more than 300 of your followers match it

Ran into this while setting up audience-limited posts on a LinkedIn company page, so sharing in case it saves someone the confusion. LinkedIn lets a Page post go to a subset of your followers instead of all of them: by location, language, job function, seniority, industry or company size. It's basically organic targeting, and it's handy if you post in two languages or only sell in some countries. The catch: the combination you pick has to match more than 300 of your Page's followers. Below that, LinkedIn won't send it to the smaller group. We were publishing through LinkedIn's API and the post was rejected outright rather than quietly going to everyone. On a newer Page, almost any two stacked filters fall under the line. What worked for us: * Use one filter, not several. Location on its own clears 300 far more often than location plus seniority. * Look at your follower demographics first (Page analytics, Followers) so you know which filters actually have the numbers before you write the post. * If you can't clear it, post to everyone and write the first line for the people you want. The first line decides who stops scrolling anyway. Has anyone found a good way to reach a small slice of followers on LinkedIn without hitting that floor?

nobody needs to follow you anymore, and thats why your reels get views and no follows

everyone is asking why the views are fine and the follows are dead, and i think the answer is boring and structural, not the algorithm punishing anyone. think about why you used to follow an account. you followed so you would see their stuff again. that was the entire deal. now the feed serves you whatever it wants either way, and if that person makes another good video you will probably get shown it regardless. so following costs the viewer a slightly messier feed and gives them almost nothing back. the trade stopped making sense. which means "follow for more" is asking people to pay for something they already get for free. no wonder it quietly stopped working. the follows that still happen look different to me. people follow when they want to find you again on purpose. not to receive you, to locate you. thats a completely different job and it needs a different reason. a series where they want the next part. a name for the thing you do. something on the profile that signals there is more of this and its organised, not just one good video and then vibes. heres the part im not certain about and would like people to push back on. if this is right, two accounts making equally good videos should convert views into follows at wildly different rates depending on whether theres a recognisable recurring thing on the profile, and hook quality should barely matter for the follow specifically. it obviously still matters for the view. so if you run a series or a named format, does your follow rate look different from your one off posts? id like to know if this holds up or if im talking nonsense.

Client wanting to expand work scope how much should I charge UK

I am a newly freelance social media manager, one of my clients that I’ve had for a few months has spoken to me about wanting to explore more platforms such as YouTube and Pinterest. I currently post for him on Instagram and Tiktok, 5 videos a week, 1 day a week of in person filming. I’m charging him £600 but I am about to have a meeting asking for a pay increase as I’m doing alot more hours. How much would you add on for posting on YouTube shorts and Pinterest? I’m thinking I will just post content I’ve created throughout the week as I feel it’s friendly for those platforms. So not necessarily needing to reedit, But let me Know your thoughts please !!!!!
