No closed captions/subtitles

My tiktok has all of a sudden updated (?) I'm assuming, and the option for automatic CC/subtitles is gone! It's so annoying I can't enjoy it without them! Has this happened to anyone else? I've done the usual by deleting and redownloading the app, cleared cache, have the latest update. Not ideal for anyone who's hard of hearing or deaf. This has been going on for days and days.
