Can this "free for use" song be used in a brand-creator-collaboration with a big brand?

Can this "free for use" song be used in a brand-creator-collaboration with a big brand? It's a song from the Pixabay library claiming to be "free for use under the Pixabay [Content License](https://pixabay.com/service/license-summary/)".

I must be 100% sure because in this collaboration it's said that "according to the agreement, the Creator is responsible for ensuring that all necessary usage rights for any content provided (including music) are properly cleared and that the content can be used within the agreed scope. As the track you used is from Pixabay, could you please double-check that you’re confident the respective licence covers the agreed usage? **In case of a copyright infringement related to the selected music, the responsibility would sit with the Creator**."

The Content License says following:

# What are you allowed to do with Content?

Subject to the Prohibited Uses (see below), the Content License allows users to:

|**âś“**|Use Content for free|
|:-|:-|
|**âś“**|Use Content without having to attribute the author (although giving credit is always appreciated by our community!)|
|**âś“**|Modify or adapt Content into new works|

# What are you not allowed to do with Content?

We refer to these as Prohibited Uses which include:

|**âś•**|You cannot sell or distribute Content (either in digital or physical form) on a Standalone basis. Standalone means where no creative effort has been applied to the Content and it remains in substantially the same form as it exists on our website.|
|:-|:-|
|**âś•**|If Content contains any recognisable trademarks, logos or brands, you cannot use that Content for commercial purposes in relation to goods and services. In particular, you cannot print that Content on merchandise or other physical products for sale.|

|**âś•**|You cannot use Content in a misleading or deceptive way.|
|**âś•**|You cannot use any of the Content as part of a trade-mark, design-mark, trade-name, business name or service mark.|

Instagram denied a report about blatant animal abuse in a reel.

I followed an Instagram page, @thingsinmicrowave because it was cool seeing random stuff in a microwave. But about 8 hours ago they posted a video of them microwaving an alive cockroach, the full thing. I understand it’s a cockroach but it’s sick and twisted to do this and then post it. I reported it to insta but the report came back with the content still being allowed on the app. I can’t be the only one who thinks this is wrong right? Like I said I know it’s a bug and most people kill them with a shoe or something, but to catch it, put it in the microwave, edit it and post it, and not once think “this is wrong” is crazy to me.

TikTok freezes views at 500 despite very high like ratio

Hi everyone, I'm a wlw couple content creator and I'm very puzzled about my recent engagement. I've been posting high quality videos like always, and most of them are getting a staggering 90 likes in the first 300 views, literally within 5 minutes. Then, just out of nowhere, the views suddenly slow down and it stops getting pushed despite immediate and very active engagement. For context, I first started posting in February, and since my very first video (which hit 1M views within a week) literally every single thing I posted would always hit at least 10k and on average 40k views within a day or two, and regularly over 100k as well. Recently, the account died (every new video stuck at 0 views, impossible to fix) so I started a new account. I'm very confused, because I post the exact same things: around 7 second long wlw jokes/relatable content. Basically every video I post goes on the same trajectory that on my old account would always lead to popularity - over 60 likes in 300 views/couple minutes - but then randomly gets frozen in the middle of doing very well. I have checked my analytics and they are exactly the same on both accounts, which should imply that my new videos should do exactly as well as my old videos. But for some mysterious untraceable reason they're getting blocked. How do I resolve this? Does anyone else have experience with this? One more thing is these prompts saying stuff like "Your content's fire-just needs more viewers. • Spend £9 get 26377 views" pop up under all of my new videos. Is it possible that they're freezing my views as some sort of strategy to get me to pay them? Any insights are appreciated. Thanks!

Meta's $17bn teen settlement: we read the 130-page agreement, and it doesn't quite match Meta's own announcement

>In January 2024 Zuckerberg gave written testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Among the safety tools he listed: "Parental supervision tools, which let teens or their parents set daily limits for the total time that teens can spend on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, Quest, and Horizon." Something families could choose to turn on. > >On 26 August 2026 Meta settled the case brought by state attorneys general, eight days into the trial in Oakland. The judge approved it and entered it as a final judgment the same day. The agreement requires Meta to set every 13 to 17 year old to a default limit of two hours a day across its apps, plus a block from midnight to 6am. Only a parent can loosen it. > >So the tool he described is now mandatory, and the person who can switch it off is the parent, not the teen. Meta built the tool. The settlement takes away the choice of whether to use it. > >**What it is not.** It is not a confession, the judgment says in terms that Meta denies the allegations and any liability, and the judge approved it "without the final adjudication of issues of fact and law." Nobody found that Instagram harms teenagers. Companies settle mid-trial all the time. > >**What the documents say that the coverage doesn't.** Three things we only found by reading the agreement itself: > > > >We filed it as "routine", not a gotcha. Nothing was hidden; the default moved and the denial didn't. It's here because in two years, when someone asks whether the limits were Meta's idea, the testimony and the court order are both dated. > >Source, with links to the Senate testimony, the signed judgment and the full agreement (hosted by the NJ and NY attorneys general): [https://www.insidethesuits.com/receipts/13-zuckerberg-teen-time-limits/](https://www.insidethesuits.com/receipts/13-zuckerberg-teen-time-limits/)

You can limit a LinkedIn Page post to a specific audience, but only if more than 300 of your followers match it

Ran into this while setting up audience-limited posts on a LinkedIn company page, so sharing in case it saves someone the confusion. LinkedIn lets a Page post go to a subset of your followers instead of all of them: by location, language, job function, seniority, industry or company size. It's basically organic targeting, and it's handy if you post in two languages or only sell in some countries. The catch: the combination you pick has to match more than 300 of your Page's followers. Below that, LinkedIn won't send it to the smaller group. We were publishing through LinkedIn's API and the post was rejected outright rather than quietly going to everyone. On a newer Page, almost any two stacked filters fall under the line. What worked for us: * Use one filter, not several. Location on its own clears 300 far more often than location plus seniority. * Look at your follower demographics first (Page analytics, Followers) so you know which filters actually have the numbers before you write the post. * If you can't clear it, post to everyone and write the first line for the people you want. The first line decides who stops scrolling anyway. Has anyone found a good way to reach a small slice of followers on LinkedIn without hitting that floor?
