It’s messed up that an algorithm gets to decide who gets pushed and who gets buried. It shouldn’t matter whether the music is AI-made or not, if it’s good, it’s good. Simple as that.
Granted while a lot of AI artists seem unusually biased toward their own work recommendation systems is telling people what to like.
Almost all successful AI artists is making millions yet there music is awful and boring.
Its crazy how an artist’s success can have nothing to do with the music itself. Recommendation systems determine who gets heard, how often they are shown, and whether their numbers continue to grow whether it’s good or not.
The technology was supposed to lower the barrier to making music. Instead, another machine increasingly controls the barrier to being heard.
