36 out of 40 videos were ads/paid-sponsorships

Update: I updated my TikTok app and it stopped showing me so many ads, FYP is currently back to normal!

I had straights ads and paid promotions throughout my entire fyp. I thought I was tripping until it was staying consistently like that.

My watching behavior hasn’t changed at all, I have no clue why it’s like this. My FYP is usually just conspiracy theories and random rants. I didn’t do anything to make my TikTok think I like ads.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Same. My fyp has been a lot of videos about cats and DWTS, now it’s just ad after ad. Weird.

It's because TikTok is going the way YouTube did.. Slowly adding ads to get users desensitized to ads.. then WHAM they appear like a machine gun - with the hope they force you to buy a subscription service..

Is food from tiktok shop actually ok?

I see some amazing looking desserts like brownies and cookie pie, but I just don’t know how it’d survive traveling. I live in Scotland and it would have to come all the way up from England. I don’t know if I want to trust food that’s been packaged and delivered all the way up here, and I’d expect some stale, ruined and crumbled mess when it came. Has anyone else ordered desserts from it?

So frustrating to deal with. Is there any fix to this?

my vids were getting a good amount of interactions on them for the past week, some breaking the 10k mark for likes and all of them being somewhat successful. but as of yesterday, any videos I post will hit a high number of likes and views in the first 30 minutes then suddenly have zero activity. They aren’t flagged for content, nor does it say that it was hidden from the FYP. Anyone know a fix for this?
