Aside from missing the entertainment, recipes, and opinions on world topics, the thing I will miss the most is the free, unbiased, and uncensored news. Seeing riots in other countries and political news that google won’t even acknowledge. TikTok was the last form of news that was untouched by the government, elitists, and mainstream media.

What does tiktok say when you hit share? (Quick message that goes away too fast)

It only happens the first time after you install the app then never again. When you hit share via messages It warns you that people who you share this post will- and then idk cause it goes away after .5 seconds. Also I just got notified that someone saw the video I shared and another account saw the video I shared. Is there a way to make sure I'm not sending my profile around or showing people what tiktoks I'm watching? I have an anon account for comics and rants and stuff and I want to keep that to myself.

tiktok privacy is a complete joke

every single time i post/repost on tiktok, i get an email on one of my other accounts suggesting my content. meaning my followers are also most likely getting an email everytime unless they personally turned those notifications off. i remember turning off “suggest my posts to others” a while ago and now that option is completely gone, along with the entire privacy settings tab. yet google will still tell you it’s there. all we have is the “Privacy Center” which is literally USELESS and just explains private vs public accounts and how ADS work. i do not WANT my followers to be spammed with emails about what i post and it feels entirely invasive to me that i have no way to turn that off on my end. anyone else having this problem too?

fyp keeps showing blocks of unrelated/random videos

that ill be scrolling through my usual fyp then get a chunk of 10-15 videos that are clearly popular vids that i have never interacted with, like makeup, football/nfl content, cringe couple prank videos, girls talking about their boyfriends, etc. never have i ever interacted with any of these things, yet it comes up constantly, even from blocked accounts. is anyone else experiencing something similar?
