Hey, when you upload a horizontal video, how do you make it look good vertically?

Hey everyone! I've recently edited a new video of my game, however the game is horizontal. I tried to fit it into the vertical format by zooming, cutting off the top and bottom and moving it. Is there any better way of doing this?

yeah static crop always looks cramped ngl. better luck filling the sides with moving scenes / animated bg so the vertical frame feels full

ive been using easyviral lately for moving scenes + auto-post to tiktok/ig/yt so i dont babysit uploads. beats just zooming tbh

start with a 9:16 project, then choose the framing by shot instead of applying one crop to the whole clip. keep the player inside a central safe area and keyframe horizontal position when the action moves. use a blurred duplicate only when cropping would hide important UI. for gameplay, reserve the top third for the game and the lower third for captions or facecam. the concession is that wide establishing shots sometimes need to remain letterboxed. export one private test and check it on a phone before posting.

Live comments sent as text messages?

So last night I was watching a TikTok live and chatting with the host. I made three separate comments. I woke up this morning to texts from my mom asking what I was talking about, and I realized three of those comments were sent to her as text messages. They were also posted to the live because the person on the live responded to them, so it’s not as if they got rerouted. They were sent to the Live AND to my mom. Has anyone ever had this happen?

How do you feel about vertical-format series?

I’ve come across clips from vertical-format series in my feed a couple of times. It was an unusual format for me, and the storylines were certainly a bit odd—though I suppose some people might like them. Honestly, though, I didn't care for it; it didn't feel very comfortable to watch. ❁ Please tell me if you’ve come across them in your feed—what emotions and feelings did they evoke?
