I'm a Xiaohongshu (RedNote) user from South Korea.

I recently bought a ring through a livestream on rednote, but I've been having trouble contacting the seller's customer service.

Every time I try to send a message, I get an error saying "Network unstable, please check your network setting!" (当前ē½‘ē»œäøēس定ļ¼ŒčÆ·ę£€ęŸ„ä½ ēš„ē½‘ē»œč®¾ē½®), and the message fails to send.

However, I've never received any notification saying that my account has been restricted. I can still use the app normally, create posts, and make purchases without any issues.

I'm also able to send direct messages to some sellers through their personal accounts. For example, when a seller's personal DM and store customer service chat are separate, I can contact them through their personal account without any problems.

The issue seems to happen specifically when I try to message a store's customer service. Since I'm an international user, I'm wondering if this could be related to account restrictions, regional limitations, or some kind of app bug.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

People get banned for "not" speaking mandarin?

I am new to red note. I join groups where hobbyist musicians take turns singing/performing on their musical instruments. I do not know how to speak Mandarin. But I can speak English and Cantonese. One time, the host of the music group said Red Note sent her a warning that the group was speaking too much English. So then everyone quickly switched to Mandarin, at which point, I didn't understand anything other than simple things like "it's your turn to perform". Can someone explain to me what actually happens when you speak English on rednote? Is that a very dangerous ting to do? And what if I speak Cantonese? Some of the groups I join have cantonese speakers. Is speaking Cantonese also very dangerous on red note? I'm not sure what I can or can't do, and what happens if i speak too much english/cantonese. Any insight will help, thank you

How to appeal the right way?

Got restricted for 3 months. Mentioned some contact info in the comments in one of my posts and now they won’t lift the ban. I tried appeal in app and then through their support email for the past week. Nothing works. How did you guys do it? Any tips? -even though they banned me for some restrictions rule 6 or like makes my account unable to post or speak in chat. But what’s with the main page disappearance? That is just so annoying…

Restricted (& lifted!)

Some good news for people who are panicking about seemingly random restrictions. I got restricted this afternoon (3pm CEST) and it's already been lifted! All I had to do was appeal. Hopefully more of you can have experiences like this, but hope isn't lost! :)

indefinite restriction, denied passport verification…

i’m australian born chinese. some of my interests are really niche globally, but has lots of fanartists in china. i’m friends with them on global platforms like xwitter, but they post much more here and also it’s more lively.. i’d really love to see their works (guess i still can, i just can’t share anymore.) so far the changes in my account that i noticed is a fully resetted profile name, pictures, bio. people won’t see my profile and posts, and i can’t make new posts or comment. they’ve restricted the feature to delete this account and make a new one..? it doesn’t bother me cuz i just started, but i’m still a little sad. ive tried the automated appeal with my passport. i dont care if they get my information but when i tried to give my details, it needed me to NFC scan my passport. the facial recognition failed many times since my lighting was too bright. after the 7th try they got it, but said my phone is ā€œunsafeā€, therefore it’s not valid. is there just no way around it… ive said absolutely nothing to no one, i like art posts and finally decided to post my own drawings (with my desc text in chinese). did i post too many within 30 minutes??? whatd i even do so far bilibili has been the most kind app to me, taobao has also banned me at one point should i pack it up and leave
