If I were this matchmaker I would not be sending this man on dates with any more women. He's clearly not a good candidate for any woman to date.
Matchmaker? She's a full on therapist with this kind of service
"it sounds awful" because it is! You aren't protecting her, you are protecting yourself! I swear, 50% of problems would be solved if people were honest and kind.
I had an ex ghost me after six months of dating. It was so confusing, I literally checked obituaries from his area to see if he died. About a year after ghosting he messaged me and it was the most surreal experience. It really helped solidify in me the importance of letting someone know that you don’t want to see them anymore. It feels so hard to do, but it’s often the kindest thing we can do.
Oh wow, I used to work for her! She runs three different businesses and I worked under the beauty one. All the businesses were run out of the same small office so I got to see a lot of the BTS from her matchmaking service.
Essentially men would pay for packages at various values that covered different things - one was literally a catered party where the guy shows up with like 10 girls that were picked from a roster to live out his Bachelor fantasy lmao. But pretty much all the match making was done by other girls.
Emily was....not the best employer lmao. This is definitely scripted, she'd never really do any direct calls. Not unless it was for some PR.
Adults, man. Grown ass adults. That wasn't hard.
I FUCKING HATE GHOSTING
I should be a match maker. I didn’t know explaining basic human social expectations is a job. How many people need this? Christ we got how many man babies out here!?
People that ghost are chicken-shits.
The fact that this matchmaker sounds like she’s talking to a child is so sad. She shouldn’t have to “gentle parent” her client. And, if it gets to that point, she should just drop him because he clearly doesn’t have the emotional maturity to be in a healthy romantic relationship.
