Aside from missing the entertainment, recipes, and opinions on world topics, the thing I will miss the most is the free, unbiased, and uncensored news. Seeing riots in other countries and political news that google won’t even acknowledge. TikTok was the last form of news that was untouched by the government, elitists, and mainstream media.

The Dems and Republicans got together to ban social media after some hick from North Carolina asked if tik Tok could access wifi networks. The people who signed the ban all are invested in meta.

When there were protests by me that meant police blocking off the building I had to go through to commute, I was the only person in my large office to know that there would be a protest happening there. Why? I am the only tiktok user. There is a lot of real time info that is not anywhere on local news, and we’re lucky if it even ends up on the news after the fact.
I’m feeling the same thing. Facebook and Instagram are both watered down and censored with the truth. YouTube deletes videos if they’re conflicting. Idk where to go now…

this is what you think but it's not like that for example, crisis P.R management companies use popular social platforms especially titktok to run smear campaigns with bots as well as popular accounts. No to mention most hate trains originated from tiktok.

Girl, it might not have been censored but the algorithms were feeding you what they wanted. For the 2024 election, my feed looked ENTIRELY different than my friends. No one's FYP is the same.
No social media apps are unbiased/free - they are designed to keep you engaged.
