My TikTok is still “temporarily unavailable”
Everyone around me already has it back, but I still have the pop up that says it’s temporarily unavailable. I don’t think I created my account out of the US. Is this just normal? When should it be back?

This is why I turned on my vpn and created a new TikTok account. You should do the same. It’ll tell u in your settings that your region is whatever country you set the vpn to.
I did this on the website btw not on the actual app. Once you create the account you have to use the vpn though. I tested it. The minute I turn off my vpn, even though the region is set to Japan it’ll give me that unavailable message.
I’m in the same boat, hopefully once activity on tik tok goes down they’ll reinstate our accounts.
Do you have any meta apps on your phone?
It works for my alt account (I found out when I used a vpn to switch from my main), but it doesn’t work for my main account. Idk why

I think it's a tiered reboot based on your previous usage. If you used Tik Tok rarely or moderately, your service was already restored. If you used Tik Tok excessively and obsessively, they are prolonging the outage to allow you time to touch some grass and find meaning in life outside of Tik Tok again.
Not sure - that's just what I heard.
The fix:
This restored my access. The downside is, I seem to have lost all my messages which is kind of sad. I hope this helps. It seems non-US accounts currently do not work in the US.
If it’s true that this is only happening to accounts created outside of the US, then it’s so stupid and unfair because if my region isn’t US based then they shouldn’t have included me in the ban, right? Because it’s supposed to be based on your IP address but now it’s based on the region you have on your account 😑 no win either way

If you haven't already, try updating TikTok on the Google play/apple app store
