Finally had enough and deleted my account. (Due to shitty moderation algorithms and censorship.)
This had been brewing for a while. I wonder if others feel similar?
I've long been annoyed that the algorithm is super sensitive with regards to removing comments that "violates their rules". It often doesn't, it's just that the algorithm is too shitty to understand context, irony, and humour.
The last drop was this (the screenshot below). I jokingly commented "free Luigi" on some post, and I don't even remember where.. And apparantly this is a violation of the rules about "alcohol, tobacco, and drugs", which is obviously absurd. I tried to appeal this clearly wrong removal of my comment, and got a community strike instead! (for the same reason, for violating the rules regarding alcohol, tobacco, and drugs!)

So.. that's the last drop on top of previous annoyances with regards to censorship. After all, TikTok has been doing censoring things they shouldn't for a long while now. Even though TikTok was the platform where people learned about the genocide in Gaza, they did nevertheless try to censor it. People talking about it had to be creative about their language, talking about "un-aliving", "the blue and white state", "g-cide", and so on.
TikTok was, for a while, the least worst video-app. But now they're also kissing the ass of Trump.
I'm also considering deleting my Meta accounts, but I've got too many contacts on Facebook Messenger, so that's a bit of a higher bar right now.
