TikTok has been causing screen burn-in on my phones

Last year in October I noticed on my Google Pixel that icons from the TikTok app, such as the create plus icon and the home button, would appear on my screen even when I wasn't on the app. This was about a year after buying the phone directly from Google. I got pretty fed up with it after a few months as it progressively worsened. So, I bought the new iPhone 16 from AT&T(my internet provider). After one week of having this brand-new phone, I can see burn-in from TikTok again! I am starting to think the problem isn't the screens, which I know are the same between the Pixel and iPhone, but possibly TikTok's software. I don't want to make up some conspiracy but I'm very frustrated with now having two completely different phones developing this issue. Has anyone else noticed this problem or know the reason/fix for it?

Note: I also attached an image of my Google Pixel of the screen burn-in

It’s you babe. Close the app. Your poor phones are begging you to.

Gotta keep that screen brightness to a low-minimum. Especially if you're on the app for a while

Honestly that's really weird. I have a pixel 7 pro and definitely used tik tok a heck of a lot more than that and don't have any image burns on my screen. I do keep the brightness of my phone screen to a min though as I get migraines from bright lights. I saw that that was a suggestion on here so maybe it is that. Also I do think I permanently have my setting set to have "warm" screen lighting.

It's not the phone, it's you. I’m on Tik Tok have had my phone for two years and and don't even have the icon of TikTok or any other app I use.

While I enjoy hating on the new censorship, screen burn will happen if you leave just about any app on too long. Just means you need more frequent breaks from your phone.

Turn down your brightness. I'm on it all the time, on a Samsung though, and my brightness is at the lowest. No issues.

I've had a google pixel every year for about 6 years and the screen burn happens to me (regardless of the program I'm using). It's just a shitty design I think.
