Why return to TT?
Genuine question for people who never deleted and/or re-joined… why? It’s clear that the app is now being heavily censored. Why did you return and do you plan on deleting it?

Why do you care?
I’m confused because before I deleted tiktok months ago every single time I would post a video or comment it would be flagged or deleted… I thought this was the average experience 😂
There’s still a lot of people on there, and it’s still the best platform for growing your audience as a creative. Not a fan of any kind of censorship, but to me it makes no sense to not use the biggest short form video app where things are still happening. There still aren’t any real, meaningful alternatives. That was true pre-ban and it didn’t suddenly change when the ban was “lifted.” My FYP still feels the same, and I haven’t personally seen any huge changes or censorship (I still receive a lot of anti-Trump political content, etc). If someone primarily uses the app to scroll/lurk and their FYP changed dramatically, then I totally understand why people would leave. But that hasn’t been my experience. I’m more concerned about what will happen if/when the app is actually sold before the 75 days are up- because an American-controlled app without the original algorithm sounds like even more of a disaster.
Every post in this subreddit for the past year has been “WTF WHY WAS MY COMMENT REMOVED??” or some variation of it; now suddenly people are acting like this is a new thing.
I deleted the app right after the ban. I was a bit pissed at first, now I really don’t miss it, at all.
I enjoy going live\joining lives.
Because I’m fucking tired
I don’t see any censorship. I am still getting all my regular content and even more anti political anti gov content than ever before
That’s where I’ve spent the last 6 years building my algorithm. I still see what I saw before the ban. Now, if it gets bought by an American company then I will probably delete it. I don’t have Facebook or Instagram because of how scummy Meta is with its data collection. Other companies like Twitter (X) aren’t any better. I have no hope for American social media so once it’s bought, if it’s bought, I will probably end up deleting it anyways.
i enjoy my freedom of creativity and if censoring happens. as a musician that's no good.
