Why don’t my videos get views when I use hashtags?

I’ve noticed if I use hashtags (usually one or two trending and/or relevant hashtags, as opposed to something generic like “#fyp”), my videos get under a hundred views, even if I use a trending audio. I’ve posted low-effort videos and didn’t bother to put hashtags or use trending audio, and those videos will get hundreds or thousands of views. One even went somewhat viral. But if I use any hashtags at all, my videos get under 100 views.

How do I fix this? Should I delete the videos where I used hashtags and reupload them without hashtags to get more views?
