I def had to delete TikTok way too much negativity and only politics on my fyp since it went dark

For me: I just get less memes. It’s unfortunate, but at least it isn’t Right Wing bullshit, it’s just a lot of cooking videos and cursed corner shop

Most of the people saying their algorithm changed just keep interacting with all the stuff saying it’s changed or stuff they don’t want, you’ve ruined your own algorithms. Mine is exactly the same as it was

You’re interacting with those videos too much. I’ve never seen any of those. When the algorithm tries to show me content I don’t want I just immediately skip past it every time and that normally does the trick.

I haven't seen any of that stuff. Like Facebook, TikTok will show you more of anything you interact with. Maybe even videos you don't swipe out of the way in the first few seconds, I'm not sure. So mine is full of cats jumping around, chefs cooking and basketball. Maybe when you see the stuff you don't like, swipe it away quickly and don't even leave a comment about "get this out of here".

Some people are saying to block Facebook, instagram and meta on TT and it will restore your algorithm. I did it. Things were slightly back to normal, but it will never be the same. Now, like FB, IG, TT is a propaganda tool.
