I used to enjoy going on tiktok to watch hilarious and engaging videos that would show up on my fyp and now my fyp feels so stale and boring after the app went dark. It sucks becuse it was such a great app but now I feel like it’s watered down

Turns out the fastest way to cure my Tiktok addiction was to let fascists play around with the algorithm then take credit for problems they caused.
Block Facebook, meta and instagram pages. I don’t know why but all my FYP is back to normal.
I swear the algorithm got nerfed after the first time ByteDance was put in the congressional hot seat. Before that I'd get content that seemed so precise for my mentality and interests. Ever after it just felt like the youtube algorithm
my algorithm is repeated news clips and interviews of elon or trump. my fyp is GONE. i will even get repeated videos? like i’ve seen this video 5 times wth.
TikTok’s not censoring republicans like they did under Biden, now it’s the opposite. If you don’t like it, we didn’t like it either. It’ll be okay, it’s just an app on a phone that you’re addicted to and can’t live without
It's the same for me. Remember they shut it down. That going to have an affect on a lot of things and you might need to retrain your algorithm.
It was a crazy feeling when I deleted it.. a few days of withdrawal (yes addiction I didn’t realize was as bad as it was). I’ve now not had it for weeks and it feels soooo much better!! Actually leaning into hobbies again. Highly recommend making a clean break from it. It’s Meta now anyway
