How do you remove the "Setting restricted by tiktok to protect your privacy"?

I noticed recently that I'm no longer able to DM people even though I had no problem doing it before, and everytime I try to find a setting to change it, it's either not there or it just doesn't allow me to change it. Some people told me to "just change my birthday" but there's no option for that either??? Did this happen to anyone else?
