I blame TikTok for what’s happening to America

I know several Trump supporters. I have asked each of them why they voted for Trump. Every single one of them said Tik Tok showed them how “evil” and “stupid” Democrats were.

They received constant, misinformation that was anti-dem and pro-Trump over the course of a year and its skewed their perception of reality in a way that has completely boggled me.

I would really like to see a study done on Tik Tok’s algorithm and the impact it has on democracy.

Do you not remember Facebook in 2015/16? Idk how it is now but, TikTok didn't invent the personalized echo chamber. They just made one that's really good at personalizing.

Most misinformation and censorship came from the Democrats and the Biden administration to begin with. People just got fed up with how incompetent the Democrats have been for the past four years and believe that America was a lot better when Trump used to be president.
