PSA re: comment "censorship"
I've seen a lot of posts lately about "censorship," based on comments being flagged and rejected. I watch a lot of vids but rarely contribute my own. The other day, I posted a random vid, and it got a tiny bit of traction. One of the comments got flagged for potential impropriety, but it was nothing and I gave it the green light.
How many of these comment "censorship" cases are just people choosing to preserve their echo chamber? Or not having the bandwidth to sort through all the flagged comments?
To be clear, I don't trust the establishment or the oligarchy. And I'm a scientist, so I'm not inherently superstitious. I'm just looking for the most logical explanation here.
I think the simplest explanation is that some people review flagged comments more even-handedly than others. If at all. But I'm open to logical alternative explanations. Just bring receipts, please.
