I’ve noticed a drastic increase in right wing content the past couple of weeks, when there shouldn’t really be anything in my algorithm that perpetuates it. Am I an outlier, or have you also noticed that?

Trump and Co. are attempting to force a sale/seizure of TikTok through a sovereign wealth fund. This means that the officeholder of the Oval will have significant control (or total control...) of the content shown. The platform is likely beginning to morph into what it will become soon - which is a propaganda machine.
Yes. Lots of low effort posts. Text pictures with lots of misinformation, most with the word 'beware' and every sentence is filled with exclamation mark. And then the comments filled with 'Amen'
Clear the cache, log out of your TikTok account, refresh your personalized algorithm with 24 - 48 hours, and unlike some videos.
I guess how it works is that the algorithm thinks that you are watching more right wing content is because you are in the bubble of what you are interested in, it has more chances to get you deep into right wing media content because the algorithm would determine what percentage of people political affiliation are in within the bubble. If you do everything like clearing cache, unliking some videos or logging out/reset can allow the algorithm to refresh your for you page or create a new account if you want.
I did but I thought it was because I lingered on something. Also Superbowl and Kanye content is high which is probably a reason.
I used to have content based around my interest and now all i see is like politics kinda pushed me off tiktok so i dont use it as much as i used to

You're not alone. I never had right wing or Christian content pop up. Granted, I am using Tik Tok primarily to keep up with the news, protests, etc these days, so perhaps thats influencing it some... but I noticed Crypto ads (which included Doge) and Bible verses immediately after the short-lived ban, before I switched what content I was paying attention to.
I heard people saying this at first, I wasn’t getting it until I got back on a week later it would be subtle but like you could tell yk their energy is so unsettling
Yes. I don’t mean this to be funny or light-hearted, but it’s seriously such trash content. They don’t do a very good job are creating content, editing it, or catching your attention. I block each one that pops up.
