TikTok dark again Saturday 2/15 AGAIN?

Has anyone heard this rumor? I heard a creator say this a few minutes ago but I don’t think that person knows to much day to day happenings, here I am checking with any of you. Has anyone heard this too?

TikTok coming back was always temporary. Until it becomes available again in app stores, the app is on borrowed time. I thought the executive order granted a 90 day extension, but I wouldn't be surprised if TikTok goes dark again before 90 days.

Not a single person knows what is going on with this! I do not think a deal is going to be made and it is going to be done!

Trump gave Bytedance a 70 day extension to sell starting on January 20th and ending on March 31st, Bytedance gave a statement to the Washington post last week that they are not selling and any information that they are is false... Who actually knows anymore, Trump just passed it off to Vance.

It was for 75 days. I have heard beginning of April .TikTok’s Executive Order

Trump signed a different executive order than what was written into the ban bill. Thats why the extension was for 75 days instead of 90 days. The app will not go dark until that executive order expires on April 5th. This could be extended or there could be directions from the DOJ that penalties won’t be enforced, no one knows that yet. TikTok has met with the White House as recently as last weekend to work on the sale. JD Vance has been put in charge of making that happen.

Tiktok was never legally required to go dark. The law says American companies cannot offer the app on their app stores. Trump's order said he would not enforce that ban, but the companies decided that was not a good assurance, which is why it didn't come back.

Violating the law is an enormous fine and the statue of limitations is 5 years, so Google and Apple are not going to risk it on a handshake agreement.

I heard you will still be able to view TT via your web browser, just not the app.
