I have a question about streaming live.

Is it harder to grow a gaming stream without showing your face? I'd love to start streaming, but I prefer not to be on camera for privacy reasons and nothing to do with looks, in case that gets brought up, just that I live with other people and don’t want my face or surroundings on display. Would that make it more difficult to attract viewers?
