Why is the same store item always pushed by dozens of creators at the same time.

For me this started with the cheese grater. Seemed like every third post was someone pushing this cheese grater (which was so much better than the last one apparently). Every post has to explain it to me like I had never seen it before.

And of course there are the tripods

Lately it’s been tools - like the bolt/nut thread checker.

And so many times it’s someone holding their phone in one hand with lousy video showing me some product/tool used for some craft they clearly have never done.

So I’m curious what the process is for people to find and push stuff from the store

I’m guessing the manufacturer or a drop shipper has contacted a bunch of content creators to push their product at once, and you are in the target market for these products.

I don’t know if everyone has this, but I have a message box that is specifically for brands to message me through. They will say like “here’s 25 products offering AMAZING commission”. Usually it’s all Temu stuff being sold at higher prices. You can also request free samples too.

Then out of the thousands of products the algorithm tries to predict which product a viewer will like and suggests everyone who happened to make a video about it. A lot of people see one person do well with a product and try to copy cat as well.

Products like those self help shadow books offer insane commission it’s like $5.00 on a $15.00 sale. That’s why a million people were saying it “changed their lives” last year.
