Comment not visible on friends profile

Would someone be able to brainstorm with me as to why I can't see my friends comment?

We were messing around with Brian Glenn’s Tik Tok, and my friend made a very funny comment. I wanted to like the comment, but I scrolled through all 5,000+ comments and didn't see theirs.

She then gave me an @ in the comment reply, but nothing ever came through.

I've looked in settings, I have “everyone” for any option of comments, mentions, and other filter comment filters are turned off. Any ideas?
