Why did it take so long for my tiktok to get views?

I posted a tiktok at 1.45am (completely different to my usual 5-9pm posts. And it went to 4.7k views but was at such a low amount of views in the first 1-3 hours. But went high at 9-12 hours after posting. Does anyone know why and how I can keep getting that many views?

To answer the title of your post… it’s pretty obvious since people aren’t on their phones as much at 2 a.m. as they are in the middle of the day. Can’t answer your final question of how to keep it up though
