I deleted it the minute they thanked Trump for saving it before he was even the president. F that. The platform is dead to me.

TikTok is banned soon unless being sold under Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversaries Controlled Applications Act.

It never recovered from the ban.

i still use it same as i did before just looking at funny videos and some political stuff but it’s all political stuff i agree with.

I loved TT and used it a lot for work/at work but it really went downhill after the ban lott adds and lefty content.

Lotta nudity to I don't want to see all that on basically every video.

The January ban sent me to RedNote, and since then I've been there way more than on TikTok. The "Thank you Trump" stuff when it came back also turned off a lot of people, but I was already enjoying RedNote more before that. I think the people still saying the TikTok algorithm changed or TikTok got taken over already are mostly just paranoid, but I do find myself enjoying RedNote more these days.

Nonetheless, I feel TikTok still serves an important role for me in social media that no one else fills, and I hope it doesn't go away. Selling TikTok to someone who has to use a new algorithm is the same as it going away.
