Question about the app

I feel stupid even posting this, but I don’t use TikTok much and so don’t really know about its different features. What does it mean when you’re in the FYP and under the friends tab it has someone’s picture with a red dot in the picture it would be where I coloured blue? I saw this when someone was showing me a TikTok but had no clue what it meant and felt awkward asking.
